Most women over 40 skip the third piece entirely in warm weather because layering clothing is just not happening. And the outfit sits there looking almost right. Almost finished.

When you cannot layer the clothes, one accessory with actual impact steps in and does that job. Not a delicate little chain that disappears. Something your eye can land on and register as intentional.

A statement necklace. A belt. An earring that shows up.
